Fire is under investigation

An office area and approximately a half dozen storage units — along with the contents of the units — burned up Wednesday in a predawn blaze.

Local firefighters responded to the fire at 6:35 a.m. at Space Station Storage facility at 1100 Ohio St.

Upon arrival fire crews found fire and heavy smoke coming from the office area and adjacent storage units.

Augusta Fire Division Commander Major Ray Marbut advised that firefighters had the fire contained in about 30 minutes.

The cause of the fire is unknown and currently under investigation.

There were no injuries to fire personnel.
