Leon's annual event begins Thursday.

Leon’s Harvest Home Festival has grown and will be held Thursday, Sept. 13 through Saturday, Sept. 14 in the downtown area.

Carnival rides will be from 6 p.m. to midnight Thursday and Friday, and opening at noon on Saturday.

At 6 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, the Leon Ministerial Alliance is hosting different motivational speakers.

Don’t miss all the fun on Saturday: cinnamon rolls and coffee at the Senior Center; the breakfast buffet at the Leon Cafe from 7 to 10 a.m.; craft booths open at 9 a.m.; the parade at 11 a.m.; sloppy joe meal and craft fair at the Rebekah Lodge at 11 a.m.; cake walk and petting zoo at noon; Tractor Pull starts at 1 p.m.; car show at 2 p.m.; street dance at 8 p.m.

The event will include some old favorites and a few new features - something for everyone to enjoy.
