Jan Tracy Kilbourne was arrested Friday morning at about 3 a.m. after a tip led authorities to a location in Wichita.

After a 5-day manhunt, the man who is believed to have shot a Butler County Deputy during a routine stop Monday morning is in custody.

Jan Tracy Kilbourne, who has a long history of criminal activity and skills as a survivalist, was located at 700 S. Terrace in Wichita at about 2:40 a.m. Friday after a tip led officers to that location.

A $5,000 reward had been offered Thursday for information leading to Kilbourne's arrest.

There will be a press conference later today and the story will be posted here and included in Saturday morning's El Dorado Times and Augusta Gazette.
