As of Thursday, Cowley County law enforcement had a tracking team on site following up on a call where the suspect was reported to have been seen running out of a house.
In addition, Butler County has a couple of deputies in Liberal following up a lead, as well as in Hutchinson chasing down leads and talking to friends and acquaintances of Kilbourne.
Sheriff Kelly Herzet said they were coming up with some information but still wanted to find more.
The deputy who was shot is continuing to recover at home and Herzet said he will be given as much time off as he needs.
