  • Rodney Wade “Crash” Wilson (58) was born on Aug. 3, 1955, in Emporia, the only son of Edward F. and Marie (Booth) Wilson and was raised near and around El Dorado and Towanda, where he attended Oil Hill and Towanda Elementary schools. Rod went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, Aug. 26, 2013 at his home.

  • Rodney Wade “Crash” Wilson (58) was born on Aug. 3, 1955, in Emporia, the only son of Edward F. and Marie (Booth) Wilson and was raised near and around El Dorado and Towanda, where he attended Oil Hill and Towanda Elementary schools. Rod went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, Aug. 26, 2013 at his home.
    Rod was a 1973 graduate of Circle High School, a graduate of Wichita Technical School, being certified as a Heating and Air Conditioning Technician, and graduated from Butler County Community College with an Applied Science Degree. He served his country, joining the U.S. Army in 1974. Rod was a truck driver until he became disabled. He enjoyed reading, Harley Davidson motorcycles, hunting and Indian artifacts.
    He leaves his son, Logan Warren; a step-daughter, Amber Morgan; three step-grandchildren, Alexis, Adria and C.J. Morgan; three sisters, Gayla McGuire, Jill Greenwell and Taunja Arvelo; and several nieces and nephews.
    Rod was preceded in death by his parents.
    Private graveside services were held.
    Carlson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
