El Dorado Community Concert Board of Directors, including new members Teresa Bachman and Jeff Eastman, met Aug. 28, with Cherie Lawson, area representative for Live On Stage, Nashville.
Lawson presented a list of artists, videos of each, the dates each is available in the area and the cost of each artist or group available for the 2014-2015 concert season.
Board members who attended the Live On Stage Showcase Aug. 1-3 added their comments on the artists they would like to present to the El Dorado Community Concert audience.
During the three-day showcase, 27 artists or groups performed short programs.
Audio-video presentations from others rounded out the 35 artist roster available for the 2014-2015 concert season. These were chosen from more than 400 artists from around the world who applied to be included in the Live On Stage listing.
Artists for local concerts are booked through Live On Stage, a Matt Davenport agency headquartered in Nashville.
Board members made their selections for the 2014-2015 concert season, subject to scheduling arrangements. The 2014-2015 concert schedule will be announced in February 2014.
The 2013-2014 concert season will open with Anthony Kearns, Ireland’s finest tenor, at 7 p.m. Oct. 22 in the El Dorado Middle School Auditorium.
Admission is by season ticket. Individual, student, family and grandparent season tickets are available from any ECCA Board Member or volunteer.

El Dorado Community Concert season ticket holders may attend concerts in Topeka, Chanute, Great Bend, and Ponca City, Okla., by reciprocal agreement.
