  • Harold E. Taylor, 93, passed away at his home in Burns on Friday, August 17. Celebration of his life will be 1 p.m. Wednesday; visitation with family will be 6-7:30 p.m.. Tuesday both at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home.
    Harold was born July 2, 1920 in Fall River, the son of Elmer Dow and Dora Esther (Mills) Taylor. He graduated from Climax High School. He was united in marriage to Rowena Alexander on September 12, 1952. Harold was a contracting officer for Upper Walnut Watershed Joint District #33 and a farmer. He retired November 2010 after 47 years of service. He loved to be with family and travel.
    Survivors include wife, Rowena of the home; sons Brad (Dagmar) of Carbondale Il, Kevin (Shirley), John (Svetlana), Tracy all of El Dorado, Dan (Carolyn) of Sterling, KS., Doug (Shannon) of Augusta; brother Howard (Georgia) Taylor of Wichita; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
