A combination of heavy winds and rain reports were filed following last night's thunderstorm.
A corridor from Whitewater to El Dorado took a majority of the storm damage. El Dorado's fire department was reporting several calls due to tree limbs falling on power lines and homes.
The northwestern area of the county reported heavier rains with several reports of streets flooding in Whitewater and Potwin. An estimated four inches of rain fell within one storm cell.
While the winds moved through Whitewater, meteorologists reported winds gusting at 65 miles per hour, but by the time the storm moved into the El Dorado area, winds were in excess of 70-80 miles per hour, causing lots of limb damage to houses and cars with reports of downed power lines.
