  • Chancy Gerbitz, of Augusta, accepted the position as program director for Central Kansas Community Foundation in Newton.
This new position will have primary responsibilities for coordinating, marketing and managing all competitive grant and scholarship application cycles throughout CKCF’s service region across central Kansas.
Gerbitz, who recently completed a master in business administration from Friends University, also has a bachelor of science degree with a major in family and consumer sciences from Pittsburg State University.
In addition to her academic achievements, Gerbitz has had a volunteer and personal relationship with Central Kansas Community Foundation – Butler County (CKCF-BC).
In 2005, she along with her family established a scholarship fund in memory of her sister, Chelsea Gerbitz. Her passion and personal interest in not only her sister’s fund, but the underlying value of community service led Gerbitz in 2012 to serve on the advisory board and as chair of CKCF-BC.
Sandra Fruit, executive director, of CKCF noted, “The fit between this new position and Chancy’s education and experience is a perfect match.
“The addition of this new position is pivotal to our Foundation’s growth and for the donors and charities we serve throughout our Central Kansas Community Foundation service area. Providing premiere service to the communities we serve is most important to our growing organization.”
