  • Mid America Youth Basketball (MAYB) will bring a record number of boys’ basketball teams to the Wichita Metro on Thursday through Sunday, August 1-4.
    Teams will be traveling to Wichita from across the country.
    California, Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, Illinois, Minnesota, and North Dakota are only some of the states represented at the tournament this year.
    The MAYB National Championship draws the best youth basketball programs in the country with the top basketball players in each class in attendance.
    Past athletes include Blake Griffin, Brandon Rush, Wayne Simien, DeMarcus Cousins, Daniel Orton, Tyrel Reed and many more.
    Come see the next generation of college/NBA superstars.
    Many college coaches will be in attendance to watch the top young basketball players.
    Farha Center (South YMCA) - Thursday, August 1st from 12:00pm until 10:00pm is where athletes will compete in a skills competition, shooting competition, and a dunk contest.
    These competitions are separate from the tournament and players will showcase their skills for everyone to see.

    MAYB has been organizing and promoting youth basketball tournaments since 1993.
    What started as one summer tournament with 60 teams has grown into more than 435 tournaments involving over 6,000 teams from 27 states and 2 foreign countries.
