The City of Augusta was recently approved for a grant to renovate the Frisco Depot in downtown Augusta.
This grant has been a goal for Augusta for the past several years. Over that time, the city has budgeted money to fund its portion of the $707,370 project.
Monday night before the council work session, the governing body toured the facility so that they would have a better idea of what the structure looked like when they decide how best to use the grant money.
The design process is expected to be completed soon and the project will go out for bid in the Spring of 2014.
