Margaret Louise (Varner) Rawlings, 83, of Augusta, passed away in her home at Cottonwood Point, Augusta, Saturday, July 27, 2013 surrounded by her family.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, at Headley Funeral Chapel; funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Margaret was born in Gridley, Kan. on March 13, 1930, to the late Margaret Leslie (Strickland) and Cloyd Martin Varner. On Oct. 15, 1950 she married James W. Rawlings at the First Baptist Church in Augusta and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Esther Bewley.
She is survived by: sons, Mike Rawlings and wife Terri, Kevin Rawlings and wife Toni, all of Augusta; five grandchildren, Amanda (Jamie) Evans of Andover, Wil (Megan) Rawlings of Tulsa, Kelly Adams of Augusta, Abigail Rawlings of Tulsa, and Trisha Rawlings of Augusta; six great-grandchildren, Michael and Faith Adams, Sadie Evans, Liam Rawlings, and Alex and Crystal Davis; and brother, Lawrence Varner of Mount Holly, NJ.
