  • Letha G. Corfman, 88, passed away Friday, July 26,2013 at her home. Celebration of her life will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church. A visitation with family present will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
    Letha was born Oct. 2, 1924 in Peabody. She graduated from Nickerson High School. She was united in marriage to Glenn Corfman on Dec. 17, 2007 at the Christian Church parsonage. Glenn passed away Dec. 17, 2007. Letha was a member of the First Christian Church. She was an avid weather forecaster and loved to read also she loved watch sports the Royals, KU and KSU football and basketball were her favorite teams to watch. Glenn and her loved to square dance.
    Survivors include daughter, Debbie and husband Bud Strange of El Dorado; sisters, Virginia Haulman of Sterling, Wilma Bloom of Medicine Lodge and Barbara; four grandchildren, Julieanne Fuller, Christina Vohs, Denita Young and Devin Miller; and five great grandchildren, Athena, Aimery, Jackson, Abigail and Logan. She was preceded in death by daughter Deena, sister Thelma and brother Obie.
