For nearly an hour Tuesday night, the Augusta area received winds, some hail, and lots of rain. Power was out for a short time in some parts of the city.
Neighborhoods and streets were littered with limbs and debris. The City Power Plant reported that Augusta received 1.1 inches before midnight.
Some areas of Kansas were no so lucky. Southeastern Reno County received estimated winds around 100 mph. and McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita saw winds of 66 mph. More than 3,000 customers in Sedgwick County were without power.
More storms are predicted for Thursday night.
