Doris Ailene (Parscal) Boucher, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at her home in Lavon, Texas. Born Feb. 16, 1932 in El Dorado, the daughter of Ray Parscal and Cecile (Throckmorton) Parscal of El Dorado.
She was licensed by the Kansas Board of Cosmetology and received her Certificate of Practical Nursing from Westark Community College, Fort Smith, Ark. She was employed at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita and as office manager for Cardiologists Dr. William Scott and Dr. Charles Beck of Wichita.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roy Parscal and Glen Parscal; and sister, Phyllis Groves.
Survivors include sister, Eleanor Dodd of Fort Smith; brother, Melvin Parscal of Derby; son, Dennis Lee White of El Dorado; and daughters, Brenda and Scott Willoughby of Lavon, Texas, and Yvonne Hofer of Fort Smith. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Wylie, Texas.
Doris’s smile, good humor, and laughter will be missed.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Carlson’s Funeral Home, 200 S. Star St, El Dorado, KS 67042. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Amity Hospice in care of Carlson Funereal Home
