Firefighters need to take a look at buildings when they are being built and when they are being torn down. Reason is the makeup of any structure gives one insight to what might happen if it should ever catch fire.
Along those lines there was a vintage building in Stafford, Kansas that disappeared just yesterday.
It took less than a day for the giant crab-pinching backhoe to bring down the mighty Stafford Courier. Chomp, chomp, chomp went the roof followed by the walls.
Owner -publisher – editor David Green will certainly tell the historical story of the building, but apparently time had deteriorated the monstrous structure to a point where it wasn’t financially feasible to maintain any longer.
The old Stafford Courier building is now simply a memory.
