Lee Hallaux, 76, of Eureka, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2013 at Via Christi Rehab Center-Our Lady of Lourdes. Celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Carlson Funeral Home. Cremation will precede the service.
Lee was born on Dec. 4, 1936 in Leavenworth, the son of Leo Price and Dorothy Marie (Powell) Zimmerman. After graduating high school, he served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After his four years was up in 1959 he transferred to the Reserves. Lee retired from Beechcraft as an Avionic Manager. He then enjoyed his time at his farm and Eureka Lake.
Lee was united in marriage to Mary Elaine Cooper on May 6, 1961 in Wichita. She preceded him in death on June 5, 2006 after 45 years of marriage.
He leaves his sons, Ron Hallaux of Rose Hill and Mike (Karen) Hallaux of Houston, Texas; daughter, Darla (Jim) Linot of Rose Hill; brother, Richard (Barbara) Hallaux of Graham, Washington; five grandchildren, Josh, Justin, Danny, Drew and Jon; and two great grandchildren, Sydney and Alexandra.
His parents and sister, Judith McClure also preceded Lee in death.
