Raymond Louis Hoffmann, 77, joined his Father in Heaven, July 13, 2013. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday with Mass 10 a.m. Thursday, both at St. John’s Catholic Church.
Raymond was born July 11, 1936 in Watford City, N.D., the son of Louis and Cora (LaPlant) Hoffmann. He graduated high school in Provo, Utah, served in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1959, and then went to work in the oil business. Ray was married to Anna Margaret Komer Sept. 5, 1959 at St. John’s, and was blessed with five vibrant sons. In 1977, he earned an associate’s degree from Butler Community College and became an RN. He retired after more than twenty-five years of nursing.
Raymond was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, an avid fisherman, camper and craftsman.
Survivors include: wife, Anna of the home; sons, Robert (Sharon) of El Dorado, William (Michele) of Wichita, Joseph (Gail) of Orlando, Fla., James (Susan) of Burns and Curtis (Randi) of Tecumseh, Kan.; brothers, Donald (Betty) and Leonard (Lillian) all of Watford, N.D.; sister, Beulah Morgan of California; 11 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
