The El Dorado City Commission discuss a rate change for the storm water utility during their meeting Monday evening.
City staff reviewed the storm water utility revenues and expenses to see if rates could be reduced while continuing the same level of service.
Because the city has completed numerous projects driven by maintenance first, the need for costly projects has not arisen to date.
The commission could either leave the rates the same or choose to reduce the rates with two other options being presented.
In other business, the commission will:
• consider an ordinance changing the name of 30th Street to Carter Road. The street was annexed into the city for the development and construction on the new middle school. Staff recommended the name change to reduce confusion in the numbering and naming from a county road to a city road. The name was suggested because of the family that previously owned the property in the area.
• hear from Ashley Roedel, Main Street director, on the Frontier Western Celebration.
• consider a final plat for Belmont Heights Third Addition.
They will meet at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
