    ABOUT NATIONAL BASEBALL CONGRESS
Founder, Hap Dumont developed the National Baseball Congress in the midst of the Depression. The first NBC World Series tournament was held in 1935 at then newly built Lawrence-Dumont Stadium and brought young prospects and ex-major leaguers across the country together to play.
This year’s 79th Annual NBC World Series will feature a new format, with The First Week and Championship Week, designed to provide a more fan friendly 16-day tournament and allow the best teams the National Baseball Congress has to offer the feasibility to come compete in Wichita.
