Coby Robinson hit two homers and drove in four runs to rally Derby to a 6-5 victory over El Dorado in Derby on Friday night.
The loss snaps a four-game Jayhawk League winning streak.
The second-place Broncos did not lose any ground as league-leading Hays fell to Liberal 7-5.
El Dorado got two gift runs in the first when Todd Ritchie singled to open the game. He scored when the Derby catcher George Haaland threw wildly to first after David Parrett had struck out for what appeared to be the third out of the inning. Parrett wound up on second and scored on Clayton Taylor's single.
Tyler Ware homered in the third to make it 3-0.
Thomas Clay singled in John Coen, who had singled, in the fourth.
However, Robinson hit a three-run homer in the sixth for a 5-4 lead.
After Derby tacked on a run in the seventh to make it 7-5, El Dorado went to work again.
Clay opened the eighth with a homer. After Parrett singled and Christian Cox was hit by a pitch, Wade Stramp singled. However, on the play, Parrett was thrown out at home on a controversial play.
The Broncos threatened again in the ninth. With runners on first and second, Clay drove on to right that right-fielder Brandon Matthews made a catch of, advancing runners to second and third. After Ware was intenionally walked to load the bases, Parrett struck out to end the game.

Christian Cox allowed just one earned run in six innings, and John Coen and Todd Ritchie had crucial hits to help El Dorado nip host Derby 4-3 Saturday night.
Ritchie got the Broncos on the baord in the first with a leadoff single. After a sacrifce and a pair of walks loaded the bases, Ritchie trotted home when Clayton Taylor was hit by a pitch.
In the sixth, El Dorado tacked on two more. Wade Stramp opened with a single, was sacrificed to second by Coby Roming and scored on Coen's single.
Coen bolted for second early; and when Derby pitcher Brandon Matthews threw to first, it sailed over the first baseman's head and Coen ended up on third.

In the eighth, Patrick Esposito led off with a single. Stramp doubled him to third. Roming walked to load the bases. Coen popped up to short.
With the infield in, Ritchie hit a high chopper that resulted in Roming being forced at second, but Esposito scored on the play.
Cox struck out five and allowed just four hits in six innings.
Derek Miller pitched a 1-2-3 ninth for his fourth save.

El Dorado struck for five runs in the second inning to defeat Denver's Cougars 12-6 Sunday night at McDonald Stadium.
Jake Luebbe went six innings to pick up the victory.
John Coen went 3 for 4 with a double and a triple, driving in three runs.
Jake Stramp continued his hot hitting with a single and a double. He also got two hits the previous night in a victory over Derby.
