The victories put El Dorado at 12-8 in Jayhawk League play, good for second place. League leader Hays suffered two losses to Wellington to fall to 13-5. Hays and Wellington wind up their three-game series on Monday night.
Derby lost two of three games to Liberal.
So, El Dorado is three games ahead of Derby. Wellington is 10-9, going into Monday night's game.
Outfielder Thomas Clay enjoyed a banner three games, going 8 for 16, including a homer.
Saturday night's game was a seesaw battle. Dodge City jumped to a 3-0 lead with Wichita State's Garrett Brummett on the mound.
El Dorado didn't score until the seventh. Wade Stramp walked and Jose Rosado reached on a fielder's choice.
Stramp scored on a wild pitch and Rosado scored on Todd Ritchie's two-out double.
Clayton Taylor led off the eighth with a single and later scored on a Dodge City error.
El Dorado wiggled out of a bases-loaded one-out jam in the 11th.
Coby Roming led off the 12th with a homer over the left-field fense, which proved to be the game-winner.
The Broncos return to action on Tuesday night, playing host to Derby.
