The Butler County Caregiver Support Group will meet from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, at Andover Court, 721 W. 21st St., Andover. Joan Brubacher, a licensed specialist clinical social worker with Prairie View, will lead discussion on “The Importance of Boundaries in the Caregiver Role.”
To allow caregivers the opportunity to attend the support group, a newly-offered service will provide care for care receivers. Caregivers can make arrangements for adults they care for by calling Andover Court at 316-733-2662 prior to the meeting date.
This group offers an opportunity for education, mutual support and problem-solving with others who are dealing with similar situations. This includes caregivers whose care receiver has any illness, including dementia.
For more information about this monthly group or any caregiving needs, please call Brubacher at 316-634-6400 or 800-362-0180.
This program is funded in part by the Kansas Department on Aging through the Older Americans Act of 1965, and administered by the Central Plains Area Agency on Aging.
