  • The Cassoday Bike R un will dedicate its monthly Bike Run on Sunday, July 7, to honor all veterans.
    The Bike Run starts at 7:30 a.m. and runs until 1:30 p.m.
    The program begins at 11 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance will be led by the children of the Cassoday United Methodist Church Bible School. The National Anthem will be sung by United States Army Veteran Katie Davis of Cassoday.
    Following that, the welcome speech will be given by Greg Ball, United States Navy veteran and current mayor of Cassoday. United States Navy Veteran Mike Maloney of El Dorado, will be a guest speaker.
    Prizes will be awarded to veterans for different categories.
    There also will be vendors in attendance selling food (breakfast and lunch), antiques, crafts, clothing, glass etching, leather goods, and more.
    Entertainment will be provided by Linnaberry Wine of Wichita.
    Prior to the program, the Christian Motorcycle Association will provide a church service from 10 to 10:30 a.m. for those wishing to attend. Taps will be played by Kevin Pickrell, United States Army Veteran from El Dorado.
