David H. Westfall, 65, of El Dorado, died Friday, June 21 at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital. A celebration of his life will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, El Dorado, Kansas. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Burns.
He was born on April 3, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Richard Martin and Diane (Mathis) Westfall. He graduated from high school and was an automobile worker. On Nov. 21, 2010, David and Cathy Castleman were united in marriage in El Dorado. He was a member of the UAW; a foster parent; enjoyed old classic cars and Harley’s; and enjoyed watching cooking shows.
Those who survive include his wife, Cathy; children, Bobby, Austin, Emily, Elizabeth, Bill and Carrie; a grandson, Benjamin, all at home; and brothers, Daryl of Wichita and Doug of Ohio. Also surviving are children, Tim, Joe, Greg, Vicki and Chris; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, all of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
