Club member James Simonton of Land O’ Lakes, Florida, was delighted when he received a new wall-mount shop vacuum as a gift. But once he hung the vacuum in his shop, he realized there wasn’t a good way to store the vacuum’s hose and attachments. His solution (which would work well for any type of shop vacuum) was to use a plastic garden hose caddy as an organizer. The vacuum hose hangs just as a garden hose would, and the various attachments fit nicely into slots in the bottom of the caddy that were originally meant to hold garden sprayers. If the hose caddy you purchase doesn’t have slots, it’s easy to cut your own with a utility knife or a small saw.
