Bobadel “Bobbie” Polk, 77, of Blue Springs, Mo., died Saturday, June 15, 2013.
A celebration of Bobbie’s life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St., Blue Springs, Mo.
Bobbie was born March 4, 1936 in Emporia, Kan. to Ralph and Catherine Hill, She met the love of her life, Virgil Polk 63 years ago in Augusta. . They would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary Sept. 5, 2013. She co-owned the Typesetter and was co-owner and publisher of the Buckner Villager. She enjoyed tennis, traveling, fishing, and bridge playing.
She is survived by: her husband, Virgil of the home; sons, Robin (Tonya), Stillwell, Kan., Jeff (Brenda), Plano, Texas, and Todd (Jennifer), Blue Springs, Mo.; grandchildren, Nicolas, Brandon, Danielle, Katelyn, Morgan, Dustin, Jackson, Logan, Dalton, Drew and Rylee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a grandson, Zachery.
