    Thomas Clay tripled in the winning run in the 13th inning to help El Dorado edge Liberal 9-8 on Saturday night at McDonald Stadium.
    Clay was 0 for 5, going into the 13th, leaving six runners on base (three in scoring position). John Coen opened the 13th by reaching on an error by Liberal shortstop Tanner Kirk.
    Liberal pitcher Chad Nach had retired 14 straight Broncos, going into the 13th.
    Joe Smidt got the win for El Dorado with three shutout innings, striking out five.
    David Parrett led the Broncos with three hits, driving in two runs.

    Tyler Ware walked with the bases loaded to give El Dorado a 10-9 victory over Liberal on Sunday night at McDonald Stadium, its third straight one-run victory over the BeeJays.
    Tied 9-9, El Dorado opened the bottom of the night with a double to the left-field wall by Coby Roming. Liberal elected to intentionally walk the bases loaded and bring in an outfielder to play in the five-man infield.
    Ray Ashford was called out the Liberal bullpen to face Ware. Ware walked on a 3-2 pitch after foulling off two pitches to force in Roming with the winning.
    The Broncos won the previous two games 5-4 and 9-8.
    David Parrett continued his hot inning with a homer and a single. The Broncos got two gift runs in the first.
    Trever Ezell scored on a bases-loaded walk. David Parrett, who had reached base after striking out. Liberal catcher Dylan Delso missed the ball.
    Then, with Parrett on third and Wade Stramp on second, Stramp was caught off second. He made it safely back to second, but Parrett wisely raced home on the play.
    El Dorado scored four in the third with Christian Cox hitting a two-run single.
    Parrett continued his hot hitting with a homer and a single. Ward and Ezell had triples.
    Page 2 of 2 - El Dorado benefited by eight walks, although two were intentional.
    The Broncos moved into second place and are now at 6-4 on the season.
