  • Runners 'Storm the Dam'

  • Runners gathered at El Dorado Lake Saturday morning for the annual YMCA Storm the Dam run.

  • Runners gathered at El Dorado Lake Saturday morning for the annual YMCA Storm the Dam run.
    This year's event included 5K, 10K, half-marathon and full marathon races.
    The course consisted of single track trails, with some going through heavily wooded areas before runners headed up the dam to run along the lakeshore and finally returning to the finish line.
    In addition to the run, there was food and music to round out the event, as well as medals given to each of the runners. First, second and third place winners for male and female in each event received a custom horseshoe plaque.
    The top 10 finishers overall in each race were:

    The Storm the Dam is a fundraiser that benefits the YMCA Strong Kids program.
