Sharon Lee West, age 76, of Warsaw, Mo., passed away May 20, 2013, at the Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Mo. She was born on April 4, 1937, in Leoti, Kan., the youngest of four children to Simon and Emma Kreutzer.
She lived in Leoti until the age of 16, she then moved to Potwin, where she would graduate from Potwin High School. Later she moved to El Dorado, Kasas where she was employed for the El Dorado Refinery Company (EL RECO) for 15 years. She later worked for Texaco Trading and Transportation, where she retired in 1995 after 24 years of service.
On May 4, 1991, she was united in marriage to Gary West in Eldorado. In 1995, they moved their home to Montrose, Colo., where they enjoyed traveling from Hawaii to Maine to Walt Disney World. They stayed off the Interstates and traveled the country on the back roads from one destination to another. In November of 2008, they moved to Warsaw, Mo., to enjoy the fishing.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Marvin; one sister, Betty; and her first husband, Gilbert Wiens.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Gary, of the home; one brother, Darrel, and his wife Joyce, of Kansas City, Kan.; one sister-in-law, Eleanor Kreutzer of Garden City; and many extended family and friends.
