Mack C. “M.C.” Thomas, 71, of El Dorado, died Thursday, May 16 at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 28 at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado. Visitation with the family present will be on Monday evening from 6 to 8, also at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the services in Sunset Lawns Cemetery. Mack was born on Oct. 22, 1941 in Marvel, Ark., the son of Charlie and Meulah (Jackson) Thomas. He worked at the refinery for 24 years and was an operator A. He coached baseball, loved softball and all sports. He also enjoyed fishing in his spare time. On Nov. 19, 1977, MC and Earlene Davis were married in Wichita. They spent 35 years together. Those who survive include: daughters and their husbands, Debra Brison and Rita and Tommy Washington, all of El Dorado, Patricia and Sherman McLain of Omaha, Neb., and Thalasha and Clifford Spencer of Ft. Worth, Texas; sisters, Charlene Calhoun and husband Ray of Teresa, N.Y., Joyce Thomas of Theresa; brother, Dienell Thomas of Chicago, Ill.; step-daughter, Glenda Owens of El Dorado; step-sons, Cleo Prows and wife Cynthia of Columbia, S.C., and Leonard Prows of El Dorado; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
