The Butler County Sheriff's Office and the El Dorado Police Department responded to the report of a shooting this morning on Towanda Avenue, according to Undersheriff Tony Wilhite.
The call of shots fired came it at about 11:35 a.m. in the 2100 block of West Towanda Avenue in El Dorado, located just west of Haverhill Road.
"When officers arrived they made contact with a Lisa Cox, 51, who said she was inside the home talking on the telephone when she heard what sounded like two gun shots," Wilhite said. "Upon investigating, she noticed what appeared to be a bullet hole in the window of the residence and it also had penetrated a wall inside the residence."
Cox was the only one home at the time and there were no injuries.
"The case is still under investigation," Wilhite said. "We don't know the motive."
