The FlintHills Folk Music Guild closes its 34th and final season at the Iron Horse Concert Hall with The Last Run Celebration and Marianne’s MemorialBack-Alley Barbecue & Open Mic to benefit her Folk Art Collection in the L.W. Nixon Library at Butler Community College on Saturday.
The event begins at 4 p.m. with a jam session. There will also be an orphaned frog adoption table in the gallery and Iron Horse memories on display.
Then at 5 p.m. will be a barbecue dinner featuring Froggie’s pulled pork and chicken (tastes just like froglegs), with red beans, rice and sausage for $7. Your side dishes are welcome.
Then at 6 p.m. will be inductees into the Oder of the BullFrogger and Froggie’s Favorite Folkie FanClub. The open mic will start at 6:30 p.m. and the cost is $7.
