Prior to the nurses pinning ceremony at Butler Community College Thursday evening, a reception was held to thank those who generously contributed funds for nursing scholarships.
“We have donors who have now helped us raise $1 million in endowed funds,” said Stacy Cofer, chief advancement officer at the Butler Community College Foundation. “That means $50,000 a year in scholarships for our students. Truly from the bottom of my heart, thank you.”
“We are so grateful to each and every one of you,” added Anita Mills, dean of the nursing program. “It does make a difference.”
