The Macksville Junior High eighth grade boys track team was the clear winner in the Central Prairie League track meet that was held at La Crosse last Tuesday, scoring 101 points, 15 points over their nearest rival the Ness City Eagles who placed second with 86 points.

The Mustangs eighth grade ladies placed third as did St. John-Hudson's seventh grade gals getting the third place.

St. John's seventh grade boys placed fifth as did the eighth grade boys. St. John's eight grade girls place sixth. The Mustangs seventh grade girls placed eighth.

In the seventh grade girls division, those who placed first in their event were St. John's Torre Fisher in the 800 Meter Run and St. John's 800 Sprint Medley comprised of Olivia Falk, Leslie Ramirez, Ramsey McVey, and Fisher.

In the eighth grade girls division, those who placed first in their event were Macksville's Emma Stimatze in both the 800 and 1600 Meter Runs, Taylor Gillespie in the 3200 Meter Run and St. John's Bailey Burns in the 200 Meter Hurdles.

In the seventh grade boys division, those who place first in their event were St. John's Quincy Smith in the 800 Meter Run, St. John's 4X100 Meter Relay comprised of Braden Witt, Smith, Chase Fisher and Eddy Ibarra; and St. John's Sprint Medley with Witt, Fisher, Smith and Ibarra getting their second relay gold.

Those getting the gold in the boys eighth grade division were Macksville's Jarrod Kuckelman in the 800 Meter Run, and fellow teammates Nick Lucas in the 3200 Meter Run and Bryce Casper in the 75 Meter Hurdles.

Seventh grade boys rankings: 1.)Central Plains 99, 2.)La Crosse 90, 3.)Ness City 77, 4.)Victoria 63, 5.)St. John-Hudson 58, 6.)Otis-Bison, 7.)Macksville 24, 8.)Kinsley 19.

Eighth grade boys rankings: 1.)Macksville 101, 2.)Ness City 86, 3.)Otis-Bison 76, 4.)Kinsley 59, 5.)St. John-Hudson 58, 6.)La Crosse 55.50, 7.)Central Plains, 8.)Victoria 7.
