  • The Flinthills Mustangs track and field teams competed at league on Friday and had a solid showing for the young squad.
    Lauren Doll led the way for Flinthills taking first in the 200m dash and third in the 100m dash.
    Doll also placed fourth overall in the Long Jump.
    AJ Kennedy claimed third in the High Jump and finished 7th in the 100m dash.
    Kennedy took 8th in the Triple Jump with a very large personal best in the Triple Jump.
    Kevin Merwin had a personal best in the 1600m run.
    Erik Eisenbarth placed 10th in the 300 intermediate hurdles.
    Carter Garbs had a personal best throw in the Javelin for the Mustangs.
    The freshmen boys placed sixth in the 4 X 100m relay, and they achieved a personal best time in it as well.
    Lauren Doll, AJ Kennedy, and Kevin Merwin will be competing for the Mustangs at Regionals in Burlington this Friday.
    “Congratulations to all our athletes. I am very proud to have coached them this season, and I am excited to see what they will do next year,” said Flinthills coach Jody McCollum.
