  • Dorothy Jean Fuller 86, farm wife and country woman for 54 years, and retired secretary, departed this world on May 8, 2013. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday May 11, 2013 at Kirby Morris Funeral Home. Interment in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
    She was born at home Oct. 15, 1926 on the Cities Service Batman Oil lease three miles west of El Dorado, the daughter of Edward Craig and Loretta Rutherford. She was a member of the First Christian Church and grew up in the El Dorado and Oil Hill area, graduating from El Dorado High School in 1944 and had attended Butler County Junior College. Dorothy was united in marriage on April 26, 1946 to Keith Fuller. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2000. She had worked as a secretary for El Reco, in the Register of Deeds Office, SRS and as secretary for Howard Production Credit Association.
    Those left to cherish her memory is a son and his wife, David and Rebecca Fuller of Springfield, Mo.; a daughter and her husband Debra and Dr. Kirk Ridley of Belton, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Julie Fuller of Grand Junction, Colo., Christina Vohs and husband, Jeff of Canton, Ohio, Matthew Freeman and his wife Linda of St. Louis, Mo., Andrew Freeman and his wife Lindsey of Lee’s Summit, Mo., DeWayne Fuller and Daniel Fuller of rural Benton, Randall Keith Fuller and his wife Rhianna of Newton, and four great-grandchildren, Athena Jean and Aimery Vohs of Canton, Ohio, Charlotte Jean and Audrey Freeman of St. Louis, Mo.
    Dorothy’s special joys were her family, caring for her flowers, birds and squirrel watching from her kitchen window, reading, dining out with friends, going to estate sales and spending time at the family cabin.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
