It's hard to believe we are already six days into the merry month of May! This past weekend while dining at the Cheesecake Factory in Kansas City I was reminded of a refreshing pasta dish. Ah...angel hair pasta with fresh tomatoes and basil topped with jumbo grilled shrimp!

The pasta was lightly tossed in tomato sauce then topped with freshly chopped roma tomatoes and basil. The grilled shrimp had a savory blend of basil and oregano. I must credit the waiter for recommending this dish. It was the perfect combination of flavors and I left the restaurant satisfied.

Never hesitate from asking wait staff about their favorite dishes. If they are trained well and truly interested in satisfying the customer, they will guide you appropriately. Each of the guests at our table of nine was treated with respect, kids included. The waiter spent time making sure we understood the menu and describing specific dishes in which we were interested. Our food was ordered and delivered in a timely manner. Follow-up wait services were perfect, giving us enough time to taste the dishes and make changes if needed.

Of course several of my friends opted for cheesecake to end their meal. While the selections were enticing, I relished in watching them eat the large slabs of deliciousness. For those unable to consume their entire meal or desserts, the waiter quickly packaged the leftovers and delivered them to our table in personalized bags.

I haven't had this kind of pleasant dining experience for a long time. Kudos to my friends at the Cheesecake Factory!
