The City of St. John was where the first firefighting beast appeared. He was known simply as Big Foot, but since his arrival the flood gates have opened. So that Big Foot is now known as BFU – i.e. Big Foot Uno.
Following BFU was a litter of three. BFD Big Foot Dos, BFT Big Foot Tres, and BFC Big Foot Cuatro.
BFD found a home in the City of Macksville, BFT a home in the City of Hudson, and BFC a home in the City of Stafford.
Firefighters from each of the these stations have really embraced their new family additions.
Macksville Station Chief Rob Murrow reported BFD ready for firefighting several weeks ago.
Tonight, Hudson Station Chief Tom Fischer called to report BFC was ready to fight fire – minus his face lift (paint job) that he will get after the fire season.
And, Stafford Station Chief Sanders says that BFC is simply awaiting a water tank that’s on order.
Stafford County residents need to be aware of the monstrous amount of time our talented firefighters have devoted to transform these military rigs into firefighting units.
Be sure and thank one if you get the chance.
