  • Janice Louise Hofstetter, 58, of Wichita and formerly of El Dorado, died Friday at Wesley Medical Center.

  • Janice Louise Hofstetter, 58, of Wichita and formerly of El Dorado, died Friday at Wesley Medical Center. The celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Episcopal Church. A visitation will be held between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home.
    Jan was born Sept. 21, 1954 in Hammond, Ind., the daughter of Robert N. and Jean Studebaker Denny. She attended schools in El Dorado and graduated with the Class of 1972. She attended Emporia State University and received a degree in accounting and business in 1976. She was an accountant employed by Garvey Inc. and now the Heritage group. On Feb. 21, 1993 she was married to Dennis Hofstetter in El Dorado.
    She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Jan visited with her friends on Facebook. She loved to read, volunteer and be with her family. She served as the Den Mother in cub scouts for her twin boys.
    Surviving family include: her husband, Dennis of the home; two sons, Thomas and Brian Hofstetter of the home; parents, Bob and Jean Dennis of El Dorado; brothers, Steven and wife Karen Denny of the home, and Allyn and wife Tami of Olathe; and her animals.
