Mary Charlotte Willhite, 85, of Rosalia, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at SBA Hospital in El Dorado. Celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Carlson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Blankenship Cemetery in Rosalia.
Mary was born on May 5, 1927 in El Dorado, the daughter of Ross and Velma (Robson) Harsh. She graduated from Cassoday High School in 1945 and in 1947 from Kansas State Teachers at Emporia State. Mary worked at Skelly-Getty loading Tankers and then was an elementary teacher at Oil Valley, Cassoday and Rosalia. Mary loved horses, watching and working with cattle, reading and her pets.
She was united in marriage to Lloyd Willhite on Feb. 28, 1953 in Bentonville, Ark. He preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 2006 after 52 years of marriage.
She leaves her grandsons, Kyle Willhite and Lueke (Amber) Willhite, all of Rosalia; brother, Robert (Donnese) Harsh of Cassoday; and cousins, Jack Wichers and Jill Hughey, both of El Dorado.
Her parents and son, Kenneth E. Willhite, also preceded Mary in death.
