Kimble C. Henry, 77, of Towanda, died April 23, 2013 in Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital. The Celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Towanda United Methodist Church.
Kimble was born Nov. 17, 1935 in Emporia, the son of Kimble P. and Rosa Nichols Henry. On Feb. 18, 1956 he was united in marriage to Edyra Sears in Eureka. He served his country in the United States Army and the National Guard. Kimble and Edyra came to Towanda in 1959 and Kimble was hired as an electrician at the Skelly Refinery. He retired from Texaco after 40 years of service. He was very active with the O.C.A.W. 5-241. He was a member of the Towanda United Methodist Church and the Augusta Masonic Lodge. He loved hunting and especially fishing, and being with his family.
Surviving family include his wife Edyra of the home; daughters and husbands, Karen and Bob Trammell of Wichita, and Laurie and Matt Young of Towanda; 10 grandchildren, Amy, Bryce, Ryan, Tori, McKenzie, Makenna, Michael, Maranda, Markus, and Maryn; and great grandchildren, Kylee, Conner, Hunter, Benjamin and Sean.
