MULVANE—Coach Monty Rowland was happy to get Kaeley Hansen back in the Orioles' thin lineup.
Hansen helped the Orioles play better against a Mulvane girls soccer team that beat them earlier this season. While the Orioles still couldn't get one into the net, they also kept the Wildcats from scoring as the match ended in a scoreless tie.
The match was called after regulation was done because of the weather.
It's the second scoreless match Augusta has played in as many weeks after recently tying with Buhler as well.
For Augusta, there still are a few other players dealing with injuries and missing time, which has thrown off the Orioles' consistency and slowed down their marked improvement since the beginning of the season. It doesn't help when half the varsity team has to play for the junior varsity team's preceding match, either.
Augusta will try to get back on track Thursday at home against a tough Winfield squad.
