  • The fixation is not so much on guns as it is on altering the Second Amendment without going the legal route. And still the anti-gun side does not understand that they can only control the citizens that are law abiding. The criminal would vote for the most stringent controls just to make his misdeeds more in his favor. Mr. J.D. Randolph had a very clear interpretation of the Second Amendment in Saturday, April 20th’s Gazette. As far as my understanding, it’s beyond argument.

    Let’s get real, folks. No one knows the exact number of guns in America, but it’s clear there’s no practical way to round them all up (never mind that NO ONE in Washington is proposing this). Yet if you fantasize about rifle-toting citizens facing down the government, you’ll rest easy knowing that America’s roughly 80 million gun owners already have the feds and cops outgunned by a factor of around 79 to 1.
