Augusta's baseball team got its bats working in full force in a key Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Div. IV doubleheader sweep of Clearwater Monday.
The Orioles had 10 hits in Game 1 and 15 hits in Game 2 on way to 9-1 and 11-4 wins for the sweep.
Though the runs didn't count in the end, the Orioles scored two more in the sixth inning of Game 2, but the game was called off after lightning and rain entered the area.
Chase Winter hit a 3-run home run and Kolton Schenker was 4-for-5 with two triples in Game 2.
Michael Albright hit a 3-run double to start the Orioles' scoring in the first inning of the opener. He later added a single and finished 2-for-4. Tyler Bond was 2-for-3 with a 2-RBI double.
Schenker stumped the Indians most of his six innings in the opener. He finished with four strikeouts and allowed just two hits and one run with three walks.
In Game 2, Mason Hiser threw five innings and gave up six hits, four runs and only one walk while striking out eight batters for the win on the mound. He also scored three runs and had two hits.
The Orioles next will play at Wellington Thursday for a pair of rain-makeup games.
