Augusta's girls soccer team didn't help itself against McPherson during Thursday's home match at Hillier Stadium.

The Orioles gave up a PK goal after committing a penalty for hand ball in the goalie box in the opening minutes of the match. The Orioles later made a deflection on a ball that ended up helping the Bullpups for an own goal. McPherson added another goal on an open shot as the Bullpups won 3-0.

McPherson finished with 30 shot attempts, 14 of which were on goal, and had 12 corner kicks. Augusta was unable to produce any shots.

The Bullpups scored all three goals in the first half, when they had 17 of their shots for the game.

Augusta will try to bounce back when it takes on Mulvane on the road Monday. The Wildcats beat the Orioles in the teams' first meeting this season.

Buhler, Augusta tie 0-0

Augusta's girls soccer team finished in a scoreless tie with Buhler on the road Tuesday. Taylor Childers made 24 on-frame saves to prevent the Orioles from taking a loss. Augusta only had two shots. Buhler had 41 total shots and 15 corner kicks.
