  • Interior shutters are attractive and provide privacy, but they often wont stay flat when closed. So Club member Gary Derzinski of Leavenworth, Kansas, devised this simple method to secure them against the window. He bought a brass hook at a hardware store, bent it 90 degrees and screwed it to the molding just above the top edge of the shutter. He then drove a small brass panhead screw into the top edge of the shutter, leaving enough of the screw exposed to provide a catch point for the hook. Brought to you by: American Profile
