  • The Circle Thunderbirds softball team dropped two games to Clearwater on Tuesday.
The Thunderbirds lost their first game in a close contest 3-1 with both teams having only 3 hits each in the game.
Ashley Hornya pitched the complete game striking out two but was let down by her defense who had six errors in the game.
Circle lost 16-5 to the Lady Indians in the second game despite 9 hits from the Thunderbirds.
The Indians scored first in the top of the second with a run but Circle plated four in the bottom half of the inning.
Clearwater scored 8 runs in the next three innings to seize control of the game.
A seven run top of the seventh inning for the Indians halted any kind of a Circle comeback.
Reagan Wilson had a double and two rbis in the game for Circle.
Jacy Gibbs had a double, a triple and an rbi for the Thunderbirds.
Amanda Connell took the loss for the T-Birds in the second game.
