I support Uncork Kansas' effort to modernize the state's outdated liquor laws. Consumers should have the right to decide where to buy alcoholic beverages, rather than having the government decide. The proposed new law is a common-sense solution that will allow grocery and convenience stores to sell beer and wine and lift restrictions on liquor stores to sell such things as ice, mixers and snacks. It's a win-win for the state and I encourage lawmakers to pass this measure.
