Ice created some problems on Tuesday for city crews
Yesterday’s ice storm caused numerous accidents and power problems all around Kansas.
In Augusta, city crews responded quickly to a blown transformer near Kelly and Golf St., which caused a power outage for the areas around Dillon’s, Lincoln School, and the Library.
About the same time frozen tree limbs fell and caused power failures in the same area of the city. City Crews were able to locate the problems and make repairs.
Hardest hit in Kansas was Reno County, where many accidents occurred and some residents are still without power.
